Student life at UW

Studying at UW certainly has its perks. For starters, there's the stunning main campus with its iconic cherry blossoms and historic brick buildings, all set against the backdrop of Mount Rainier. It boasts some truly world-class facilities, from research labs and design studios to performing arts venues and the striking Suzzallo Library.

With over 1,000 registered student organizations on offer and events like Dawg Daze and the Spring Fling forming a key part of the college calendar, there's always something to get involved in. And if you're into football, nothing beats gamedays at the Husky Stadium — the largest sporting venue in the Pacific Northwest.

Living in the University District

Seattle's University District (or "U District", as the locals call it) has long been the go-to area for UW students, and it's easy to see why. Not only is it walking distance from campus, but it's packed with vintage shops, college bars, and budget-friendly restaurants catering to the student crowd.

'The Ave' (University Way NE) is the main hub of activity and has plenty of places where you can grab a coffee on your way to campus or an after-hours drink. And if you ever need a change of scenery, light rail services get you to Capitol Hill and downtown Seattle in less than 15 minutes.
