"Lived here for a year, and I loved it! Friendly staff who are happy to help out if there are any issues, spacious rooms and lots of social events. Across the door from BCU and Aston University, and a short walk away from the city centre and train station. Would happily recommend anyone to stay here."

Birmingham City University's main City Centre Campus is based in the Eastside district of Birmingham city centre, just a 15-minute walk from New Street station. The university has a second City South Campus in Edgbaston, along with various other facilities in the Jewellery Quarter, Digbeth, Perry Barr and Bournville — so it really has a city-wide presence!
Birmingham City University traces its roots back to 1843, when the Birmingham Government School of Design was opened. Through the years, several other specialist schools were set up in Birmingham, and eventually brought together to form the City of Birmingham Polytechnic in 1971, which gained full university status in 1992.
Birmingham City University has over 30,000 students, comfortably making it Birmingham's second-biggest university after the University of Birmingham. The majority of these students work from BCU's City Centre Campus, with the City South Campus serving health, social care and life sciences students.
